Just Kidding and Ganging Up
Mistreating others verbally or by force is not only totally wrong, but is absolutely unreasonable. When I was being made fun of by a few people, I felt humiliated and extremely mad. I couldn't do anything since I wasn't brave enough, so I tried to play along and pointlessly laugh at myself. I think people bully others to make themselves feel better and to scare others into liking them so they don't get humiliated like the last person. I think a person's own anger makes them not think of what they are doing, and let out their rage on others. That is never an acceptable reason for bullying an innocent person though. When some classmates started and continued making fun of me and how I dressed, I felt so much anger that it nearly compressed into tears. My face was completely red and burning, and I couldn't control it. I visualized a lot of things I could do to them for revenge, but my conscience took over and calmed me down. Being made fun of is one of the most emotional acts a student could feel in school.
I couldn't do anything since I was too nice to abuse them back, so I waited until the moment went by. I really wanted to stand up for myself, but they had the power in numbers and I didn't have enough confidence. I tried to laugh along with them and smile to make them think it didn't bother me, but it really did. Even when they got over it a minute later, I still didn't get over it. I felt like I needed to change myself so others wouldn't poke fun at me anymore, or should I say stab fun at me.
I think that people hurt others just so they could gain confidence in themselves. When bullies attack at school, they do it to gain pride and fear from their classmates. They also do it just for their own entertainment and a good laugh with their posse. They hurt their peers so they get known as the cool person that no one should mess around with and make fun of. Hurting people who are humans just like you is unbelievably shocking and truly unacceptable.
